Good Tidings Charity (GTC) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization of men and women who are committed to developing the potential of orphans and impoverished children. While promoting education advancement and preserving the Vietnamese tradition and culture in the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers, the charity’s purpose is exclusively educational, cultural, and charitable.
With the charity’s sponsor-a-child program, Give Me Wings (GMW) which benefits orphans and impoverished children, the members of Good Tidings Charity are focused not only on addressing the basic needs of impoverished children- including food, healthcare, and housing, but also educational enrichment projects that inspire children to broaden their knowledge of the world around them and create a future for themselves.
The charity also embraces and promotes education advancement in young people in the community through its GTC Mentoring & Tutoring Program. With this program, the charity’s hope is to be able to serve as a guide in a young person’s journey to facilitate in reaching his/her own educational and or career endeavors.
The charity also engages in various community outreach and cultural programs to promote diversity and volunteer work in the surrounding communities through our Community Outreach Program.
In addition, the charity works with college organizations to encourage the youth to be active in Vietnamese college organizations, schools, and their communities in a positive way through volunteer work. The charity gives out a "VSA of the Year Award" annually to the Vietnamese Students Association that has been most active in volunteer and charity work.
We invite everyone to join us in volunteer and charity work. We are always on the lookout for good men and women to join Good Tidings Charity. To find out more about becoming a member or applying for a leadership position, please write to us at GTC@GTCharity.org.
