Q:When was Good Tidings Charity incorporated?
A:Good Tidings Charity was incorporated on October 31, 2004 as a Texas non-profit corporation. The charity was founded by Thomas A. T. Nguyen for the purpose of continuing the tradition of the Ta Ao Sinh Vien™ Calendar to build futures in orphans and impoverished children in Vietnam.

Q:How does Good Tidings Charity help the orphans in Vietnam?
A: Since 1999, the Ta Ao Sinh Vien Calendar has played a prominent role in the Vietnamese community. 100% of its proceeds fund Project Good Tidings, which is located directly in Vietnam, and was established in collaboration with the Vietnamese Dominican Sisters.

In addition, the Charity produces various general fundraisers, like car washes, charity dinners, and music nights, that help fuel the Charity's monetary efforts.

Q: What exactly is Project Good Tidings?
A:Project Good Tidings was created solely for the children of Vietnam. The program was named after the Charity itself, and was established in collaboration with the Vietnamese Dominican Sisters. The program is the Charity's first endeavor that is located directly in Vietnam.

The program was created because the Charity understands that in order to impact the children of Vietnam in a more profound way, one has to work with them directly and find funds that are solely for the children.

The project holds exactly 600 children, all of which are orphans, impoverished children, or handicap children. In the program, there are 200 children from Central Vietnam and 400 children from South Vietnam. All of the children in this program receive aid in health care, food, shelter, education, and mentorship.

If you would like to know more about these children in Project Good Tidings, please tour the "Download" link on our website. There you will find a document that lists all 600 children's names, birth dates, family history, and what grade they are presently in. You will also find pictures of all the children in the "Gallery" link of our website.

Q: How does Good Tidings Charity give back to the Houston community?
A: Since its inception, Good Tidings Charity has offered the Children's Bright Light Club to the Vietnamese American community. This scholarship program helps develop a strong educational foundation for underprivileged Vietnamese children in the Houston community. This program is operated solely by volunteers, and 90% of those volunteers having Texas teaching certificates.
